
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Camp, 75, on Monday Oct 13, 2014, with his family at his side after a brief illness.
Born in Grand Bank, NFLD, George moved to North Sydney, NS at age 7. George left Cape Breton for Halifax, NS at age 19, where he met & married his wife, Mary. Together, they had five children, and lived in Dartmouth, NS. George started in the Oil & Gas Field where he excelled and soon transferred his family to Alberta in 1977 where they settled in St. Albert.
George is survived by his family: Jeffrey, Stephen (Elaine), Stewart, Pamela (Dorn) Ray, and Brenda (Whitney) Nernberg–semicolon– four grand-daughters: Samantha, Alicia, Reilly, and Nicola–semicolon– four sisters: Effie, Lila (David), Sharon and Elaine (Wayne)–semicolon– three brothers: John (Anne), Larry (Dixie) and Lloyd (Mary)–semicolon– he will also be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary–semicolon– parents, Ella and Clayton Camp–semicolon– brother, Kenneth–semicolon– and grandson, Nicholas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 18th, 2014 at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
