It is with sadness that the family of Florence Teresa Bablitz announces her death at the age of 84.
Florence was raised in the Waterways area of Northern Alberta. She moved to Edmonton, where she met her husband Cliff. She did accounting at Woodward’s and later worked for Dr. Gaudet and Dr. Cot. She became a big fan of the Oilers and Eskimos. Florence was very involved with the City of Edmonton Fire Department, as her late husband Cliff was the former Chief of Training, and always loved visits from the members of the local station. She was an avid clogger and traveler. Florence loved her home and yard, and appreciated family, friends, and neighbors who enabled her to stay in her home until her death.
Florence will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Cliff (Susan), Harvey (Gail), and Randy (Manon)–semicolon– as well as her grandchildren: Nicole (Scott), Tyler, Amy (Blake), Cara, Craig, Eric, and Carl. She also will be missed by her sisters, Alvena and Lucille, brother, Lawrence, and many nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her husband Cliff–semicolon– granddaughter Laura–semicolon– brothers Ambrose and Wilfred, and sister, Betty.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Assumption Catholic Parish, 9034 – 95 Avenue, Edmonton, AB.
Donations to the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society, Suite #1, 7024 101 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6A 0H7.

Hello Harvey,
You may remember me (you were my favorite football receiver cousin :-)).
I was scanning some old pictures today and came across a pic of you back in the 60’s.
Got me thinking of you so I did a google and found your Mom’s funeral announcment – we’re sorry. Sorry to see your Dad has passed as well. Emil and Gertie are gone too, long time now. It was nice to see your name, hope you, Cliff and Randy and families are doing well, keeping warm where you live. Hope you don’t mind me reaching out, email me and let me know if you want to chat.
Regards,
Archer Schultz (used to answer to Archie ;-))
