I read in the Edmonton Journal of the death of Fernand Pahud. Although I never met him, I did know of the family, having met Maggie and Marie about 20 years ago when I prepared the memoirs of Fr. Joseph Le Treste. At that time, Maggie and Marie received me in their home and shared their memories and photos about your family with me, particularly about their time at Chard. For this I am immensely grateful. The history of your family with its francophone roots is part and parcel of the history of Alberta. Mes condoléances les plus sincères à l\’occasion du décès du patriarche de votre famille. May he rest in peace.
