On May 18 2019, Eva Marie Gratton passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 92. Eva was born in Edmonton and raised in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, the oldest girl in a family of ten.
Eva was predeceased by her parents, Aurelia & William Hostyn; husband, Louis; and siblings, Albert, Louis, Berenice, Bob, and Bill. Eva will be forever remembered by her children, Louise (Marco) and Ernie (Lilia); grandson, Levi; siblings, Lorraine, Diane, Lawrence, and Raymond, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Eva was known for her warm smile, sense of humor, and kind spirit. She traveled extensively with her husband in the air force, and worked as a civil servant. She was a wonderful mother, and had a tender heart for animals. A favorite pastime was cheering on her beloved Edmonton Oilers. Eva also had a passion for card reading, a cherished gift of wisdom and storytelling, inherited from her grandmother. She had a positive influence on the lives of many, and will be dearly missed.
All are welcome, on Tuesday, June 25th, at 12:00 noon, to attend a Funeral Mass at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, 56 Lamoureux Drive, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta T8L 2B4.
