It is with great sadness but gratitude also for a long, happy life that I announce the passing of my best friend and mother, Etta Lorraine Scott On November 3, 2017 at the Venta Care Centre in Edmonton.
Mom was born in Lougheed, AB in 1926 and, except for a brief time spent in Calgary with her new husband John Scott, lived and worked in Edmonton for the rest of her life. She was an early “career woman” working as an office administrator and property manager for a number of firms, but her real love was always her family and life at home. Mom will be missed by the many friends she made during her working life and by her surviving family, daughter, Bonnie Ambrock (Vince)–semicolon– nephews and nieces and cousins throughout Canada and the USA.
She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1994–semicolon– brother, Lloyd Wright and her sister-in-law, Ethel Wright.
Thank you to Venta Care Centre for their genuine kindness and the exceptional care all the staff provided to my mom.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Memorial Donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
