After a brief battle with cancer, Donnie passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side at the age of 61 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife of 39 years, Jean–semicolon– three children, Jody (Scott) Savoie, Kristy (Jay) Herrick, and Derek (Meghan) MacMillan–semicolon– four grandchildren, Carter (9 yrs.), Matthew (7 yrs.), Benjamin (15 mos.) and soon-to-be Baby Girl MacMillan–semicolon– mother, Barney MacMillan–semicolon– two brothers, Stuart (Kathleen), and Bruce (Sue)–semicolon– two sisters, Lynne (Lloyd) Wiebe and Laurie (Kevin) Pollitt as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Donnie was predeceased by his father, Simon MacMillan–semicolon– two brothers, Gary and Dale as well as his nephew Brett Pollitt.
A Celebration of Donnie Mac’s Life will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at North Pointe Community Church, 14025-167 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.
