I just found out from my sister so I checked out online and up popped this reference. I’m very sorry. Donny was such a spark of life whenever I stopped in on my way through Edmonton which was only a few times. A lot of laughs along with his great outlook on politics, community and life in general. I had often thought of him over the past few years but didn’t contact him as I didn’t have much to say and now I very much regret it. He was a great hubby, dad and all around good guy.

My sincere condolences.

I knew Don as a fellow volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. He was a joy to work with because he was very committed to the work and equally patient in showing those, like myself, who were less talented than he was at working with their hands. I learned a lot from him and will always be grateful for his teaching style, quick wit, and ability to explain how to do things quickly, efficiently and most importantly well.
He was a major asset to me personally and to Habitat for Humanity and all the unknown people who benefited form his devotion, competence and genuine concern that they have a place or home that they could call their own.
Sincerely,
David G. Wangler

So sorry to hear of Don’s sudden passing. I only met Don in person a couple of times with the Habitat for Humanity “Apres Work Strategic Planning Committee” until Covid forced us to take our meetings on-line. Don was always such a delight to have around – full of fun and laughter and interesting stories and points of view. A real catalyst for the group think. He will be missed.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
