It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Dianna Fay Munro (nee Reber) of Onoway, AB on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the age of 72 years.
Dianna will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nicole (Dennis) Simcoe and Ken (Audrey) Munro; son-in-law, John Veltman; grandchildren: Michelle (Tim) Brouwer, Curtis (Kristine) Veltman, Kyle & Kelsey Munro, Brooke & Jordan Simcoe; brother and best friend, Barry; sisters: Bernadette and Brenda, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her daughter (Shelly), Mother (Velva); Father (Vernon); Stepfather (Robert); brother (Dennis); grandmother (Adeline) and grandfather (Mathias).
Dianna had a passion and great talent for cooking and baking the most delicious food that everyone enjoyed, and her recipes will be passed down from generation to generation. She will be fondly remembered for her fresh homemade buns and cinnamon buns. Dianna had a great interest in genealogy and spent a great deal of time and effort in cataloging her family history. She also was very detailed in scrapbooking photos of family and popular world events and had a particular passion for the royal family. Dianna enjoyed playing card games with friends and family. She enjoyed keeping in contact with friends and relatives via telephone and would settle in for the evening and enjoy a great chat. Dianna also enjoyed watching tv, movies and reading books and had an extensive collection of movies, tv series and novels.
She was very devoted to her grandchildren who will always remember her for her homemade burgers and fries, milkshakes, ice cream floats, movie nights and taking the dogs and kids for a run with the golf cart and stopping to pick wild strawberries and raspberries along the way.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, AB and the Foyer Lacombe in St. Albert, AB for their care and compassion.
