My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Denise was an amazing nurse who influenced my career greatly during my time at the Misericordia. Her commitment to excellence in patient care was palpable. I recall how she always loved to engage in lively debate about evidence in practice and how the frontline nursing experience was so valuable in providing care to our patient population. We had debates that went back and forth over months as she eagerly read the literature to support or refute issues. I will miss her greatly, but know that she has educated and mentored generations of nurses and that her spirit will live on through us and our memories.
