It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dela Royan, “the most wonderful person you would ever know”. A lifetime resident of Alberta, Dela was born on February 18, 1950 in Hythe, raised in Rimbey, and settled in Morinville where she passed away peacefully at home February 27, 2015.
Dela is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Carl–semicolon– her three sons: Cary (Stephanie), Krystin (Rebecca), and Brandon (Heather)–semicolon– four cherished grandchildren: Megan, Isla, Nathan, and Calla–semicolon– sisters: Lynda Gant (Guy) and Brenda Watts (Dean)–semicolon– brothers and sisters-in-law: Ed Royan, Doug Anderson, Bob Royan (Ann), Annamae Giberson (Dennis)–semicolon– and many nephews and nieces.
She is predeceased by her father and mother: Emil and Mary Bauer.
Her home has always been a loving and welcome sanctuary filled with food, beverage, music, and laughter in the presence of family and friends. Dela was an avid reader, musician, painter, and potter. Due to her love of learning and reading, memorial donations may be made to the Morinville Public Library, 10119 100 Ave Morinville AB, T8R 1P8, in lieu of flowers.
At Dela’s request, a small private gathering has been held.
We miss you so much already…
