On January 29, 2012, Cecilia Lorens passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years. She was a long time resident of the Somerset and Eaux Claires nursing homes.
Cecilia was predeceased by her husband, Stanislaw–semicolon– sister, Alicja Bruce–semicolon– parents, Stephan and Wanda Niewiadomski–semicolon– and close friends, Ed and Kay Gregoire. She will be lovingly remembered by her dear friends, Albert and Isobel Gregoire, as well as the nurses and staff at Eaux Claires Extendicare.
Reverend Leo Cordeau will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Edmund Catholic Church, 13120 – 116 Street, Edmonton, on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cecilia’s memory may be made to the St. Joseph’s Priests’ Foundation, c/o the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton, 8421 – 101 Avenue, Edmonton, T6A 0L1.
