Dear Carole, You taught me english at St. Edmunds school in 78. You really supported me and always felt you were one of the best. Also, we ran the river valley a few times as I trained for cross country. Great teacher and very nice person. My condolences to your family.
You made a positive impact on me in my Junior High. Thank you.

Carole was an inspiration to me as a coworker, and as a teacher. My time working with her in the English department was cherished and I have wonderful memories. She was one of the most patient, hard working, gifted teachers I know. I have a special angel she gifted me that still hangs in my dining room and I see it and think of her daily. Rest easy in the hand of God Carole. Prayers to Leslie and family.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Carole’s passing. I was a student of hers many years ago at St. Joe’s. She had an immense impact on my life. She was kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. I will forever remember the over night leadership conference with her. I had never laughed so hard or respected her more than I did that night. She taught me compassion and to live life graciously. She will not be forgotten.
My condolences to the family.

Carole taught me english in 1979 at St Edmunds when I was in grade 9. I remember thinking she was such a strict teacher when I was in grade 7 and 8 that there’s no way I wanted her for a teacher in grade 9. Well to my surprise, Carole turned out to be a great teacher. She was kind, passionate and encouraged her students. She gave every student a book at the end of the year. I still have mine and I think I’ll treasure it a little more. Rest in peace Carole. My condolences to the family.

My life is far richer having known and worked with Carole for many years at St. Joseph High. Her boundless positive energy, compassion and dedication awed and inspired me and countless others who were lucky enough to know her. She was the most generous and selfless person I’ve ever met. An angel on earth.
I wish her loved ones heartfelt sympathy and God’s merciful peace. Carole will be forever loved and dearly missed.

Dear Les,
I have only just read of Carole’s passing last March in the U of A alumni magazine. As flat mates in university, I experienced Carole’s calm and compassion, recognized her hard work and enjoyed her sense of humour.
I was pleased that she found her vocation in teaching and her life’s companion in you. I am so sorry for your loss. The past 5 years must have been very difficult and I am thankful you had each other’s hand to hold.
Though our career paths diverted, and getting together proved challenging, I remember our time together with great affection.
