It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Carina Garcia Palanca at age 33, on January 14, 2019.
Carina was born and raised in the Philippines. She went to school at Colegio De San Agustin at Makati City Philippines from Prep to Grade 7 then graduated from high school at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Edmonton. She studied at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Engineering and graduated with a degree in Computer Software Engineering. Her passion for learning and trying different things never stopped so she shifted her career and became an Electrician. Prior to her passing, she was balancing home life, work, further education upgrades and finishing up courses at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) to acquire a Journeyman Electrician Ticket.
Carina will forever be cherished for her caring personality and her fondness for animals especially cats. She touched many lives in the short time she was with us. She will be dearly missed.
Carina will be lovingly remembered by her family, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and closely knitted family friends.
In lieu of floral tributes, Memorial Donations in memory of Carina may be made to the Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 163 St NW, Edmonton, AB, T5V 0B2
In respect of Carina’s known wishes, a private visitation/memorial service will be done by invitation.
Linda Shute says
To Comfort you on the loss of your loved one. There’s always a sense of disbelief and a deep sorrow which no one could ever be prepared for when you lose a loved one. Please know that you’re kept in my heart and prayers.
Rowella Garcia says
We will never forget the image of her gentle and bright face. May God give her eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain.
Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that we feel for the passing of your Daughter/ Sister
May care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead.
“Remember The Joy
Forget all the pain
Let all your tears,
Fall like the rain
Remember the fun,
The happy times past,
The sadness you’re feeling
Won’t always last.”
Our deepest Sympathy
