Our hearts are breaking to announce that Brian Affleck #BA suddenly passed on October 2, 2021 at the youthful age of 61 years (thankfully he kept his cougar-like figure till the end). Brian may have only had 61 years on this earth, but he lived every single day to the fullest with laughs, his own language of one liners and “BA-isms”, and pure joy. BA loved the Patch, golfing, the Oilers, the Esks & texting – but he loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and family and making everyone laugh. Each person he met was important to him and he had an amazing way of remembering every face and every story. We are confident that Brian’s legacy will forever live on through his humor, nicknames, stories and the many lives he touched.
He will always be remembered by his beautiful bride of 34 years and best friend Leisa Ann “Leakie”; his Kiddies & Pals: Jessica “Rabbit” (Stephen “Nhan”), Robin “Bobalou” (Phil), Coltin “Donnie”, Simba and Gunner; brothers: Doug and Del (Karen); parents-in-law, Jim and Elizabeth Dunbar; brothers-in-law: Jim Jr. (Sjaan) and Andy (Jenny); as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and a plethora of adoring fans.
He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Joyce Affleck; and his best friends: Vik, Wimpy, MickeyMouseRuffRuffPuppyDog, Tazz, Tony & Yumi (all the pets he never wanted).
