We mourn the loss of our Mother and Grandmother, Anne Margaret LaRone, who passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014.
Mom was born September 9, 1916, to Jim and Annie McKinnon. She was raised in the Thessalon, Ontario area with her six brothers and sisters. She married Bill LaRone on September 14, 1944. They raised a family of six children on the family farm near Iron Bridge, Ontario. After stays in Sault Ste. Marie and Terrace Bay, Ontario, they eventually settled on an acreage near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta where Anne enjoyed cooking weekly family dinners. Their home quickly became the center for all holiday celebrations with Anne cherishing Christmas most of all.
Anne is lovingly remembered by her children, Don, Rhonda Dodge, Lloyd, Gordon (Dawn Marie) and Norm (Launa), eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Her memory will be cherished by her sister, Sadie Norsworthy–semicolon– sisters-in-law, Eloise Steed and Bette McKinnon, and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, Bill–semicolon– daughter, Linda–semicolon– daughter-in-law, Karen (Lloyd) and son-in-law, Tom Dodge.
A Celebration of Mom’s life will be held at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, AB on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jeff Hamm officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society.

Deepest sympathy to you and yours Gord and Lloyd. Reading your Mom”s obituary in the Sault Star gives me the sense that she remained close and very involved in your lives over the years. She lived a very long life. I hope her end was peaceful.
I am fortunate to have both parents still although frail.
All the best to you both.
