It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of Amile, our husband, father, grandfather and friend, who passed away suddenly on October 6, 2010. He is mourned by his wife, Jenny–semicolon– children, Randy (Rhonda), Terry (Jo Anne), Kim, James (Elaine), Chris (Judy), and Belinda (Don) Metz, his beloved grandchildren, Amanda, Sydney, Joshua, Adam, Hayley, Samantha, Izabella, and Jagger. He is also survived by his sister, Doreen St. Vincent (Rick), and his extended family, Helen Berard and Stella Lamontagne.
Amile was a hard worker who passed away doing what he loved. His construction work and respect for his co-workers was his passion. He also loved talking, debating, and was a great story teller. He will always be remembered by his outgoing personality, his charm and his wonderful sense of humor. He had the most amazing twinkling blue eyes that always lit up a room when he walked in. He never said no to anyone in need and was always willing to help. Amile will be sadly missed by all those who have been fortunate enough to have crossed his path. We love you and we will miss you.
“May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sunshine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 2:00 pm. in Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home 10011-114 St., Edmonton.
Above all else, Amile deeply loved his grandchildren, therefore the family wishes the
donations may be made in Amile’s memory to Stollery Children’s Hospital, #1502, College Plaza 8215-112 St., Edmonton T6G 2C8
