Barry passed away in his sleep at the age of 78.
A native of Edmonton, Barry loved learning and was a multitalented man. He attended the University of Alberta, the University of Toronto and the University of BC. He graduated with a number of diplomas and degrees including, landscape horticulture, a BSc in Chemistry, and a Master in Education. Barry taught at a number of schools including Wagner, Eastglen, and Jasper Place in Edmonton.
Barry is survived by his 3 children, Jeff, Rhian, Scott–semicolon– and numerous grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barry may be made to Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 163 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5V 0B2.

The passing of your father brought back memories of the days spent student teaching with him at Parkallen, Argyll and Scona some 51 years ago. Then we met again when both of us taught at JP. I could not let this moment go unnoticed in this delicate state in your life without you realizing that despite years between, the sight of his name this week in the Edmonton Journal brought back many memories. My condolences to the family.
