KathleenIt is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kathleen (Kathy) Dawson of St. Albert on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
Kathy is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Jim; her daughters, Lisa, Vicky, and Coleen; her brothers in law, John Dawson and Joe Dawson and her sisters in law Maureen Corry and Margaret Walinski. Kathy is also survived by her aunts Jean Holt of Edmonton and Patsy Martin of Armstrong B.C. as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews across Canada as well as in Ireland and France. She is predeceased by her father Samuel Holt and mother Allie Holt of Peace River.
As a long time resident and business woman in St. Albert as well as an active member of the Transitions Rehabilitation Society (formerly the St. Albert Association for the Handicapped), and the St. Albert Ringette Association she was known and respected by many in the community.
The family would also like to recognize and thank the doctors and staff of Unit 29 of the Sturgeon Community Hospital for the excellent care and compassion they showed to Kathy as well as members of the City of St. Albert EMS for their quick and professional response.
A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at the St. Albert Funeral Home 9 Muir Drive.
