Obituary

Early Christmas morning, 2011, Pat Price slipped peacefully away into the dawn. Writer, editor, author, traveler, Pat’s life encompassed the things she loved — family, friends, cats, and travel. Her career was as varied as the life she led. She had an artistic eye and enjoyed being in her craft room in the house she shared with her husband and two cats. Pat grew up in Edmonton and had many fond memories of times spent riding, playing tennis, camping, skiing in Jasper, and hanging out with friends. Always the adventurer, Pat moved to Vancouver and then to Boston, where she continued her career as a writer and editor. Her love of travel took her to places around the world with Paul, her best friend and husband. Pat is survived by her husband Paul, her mother Ada, her sisters Pamela and Corinne, her nephew Mackenzie and niece Lindsay, numerous relatives, and a company of great friends. She was predeceased by her father Walter. Memorial donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on January 14, 2012. For details, please e-mail Paul at p_squared@shaw.ca
