It is with great sadness that the family of Carroll McCallum announces her sudden passing in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 68 years.
A native of Edmonton, after graduation from St. Josephís High School, Carroll attended the Misericordia Hospital School and became an X-Ray Technologist in 1964. She worked at the Charles Camsell Hospital in Edmonton for several years. Later in life, Carroll enjoyed a new career with the Government of Canada assisting students and youth in finding gainful employment, which she retired from in 1996. After her and Billís retirement they enjoyed golfing together and traveling to Arizona in the winters. They also made their way around Canada and the US several times and saw many sights. One of her favorite trips with Bill was to the Maritimes in 2010, where her familyís roots were.
Carroll will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend. She was extremely generous and always willing to help anyone in need. She was well known for warmly welcoming and entertaining friends and family in her and Billís home. Her cooking was well known to many.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, William (Bill), son Patrick, daughters Colleen and Melanie (Richard) Weber and grandchildren Stephanie and Marc. She will also be dearly missed by sisters Delphine (Dale) Beischel and Ruth Robinson, numerous nephews and nieces, and many other family members and friends. She holds a special place in many peopleís hearts. She was pre-deceased by her father Hubert (1960) and mother Margaret (1990).
