Robert (Bob) Allan passed away October 2, 2011 after a short illness.
Born in Brodick, Isle of Arran, Scotland, Bob had a great love for his country and Scottish heritage. Bob and his wife Nan immigrated to Canada in 1958, making Edmonton their home. In 1973, they settled in St. Albert.
Bob was employed by the Edmonton Teachers Association as a Business Manager, retiring in 1989.
Bob was greatly respected and admired by many family and friends. He was active in the Edmonton Scottish Society, Edmonton Burns Club and First Presbyterian Church.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Norman MacDonald, Dr. Richard Owen, Dr. Robert J. Bailey and staff for their care and support.
Bob is lovingly remembered by Nan, his wife of 60 years, and several nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be celebrated at First Presbyterian Church, 10025-105 Street, Edmonton, on Saturday October 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations to Alberta Liver Foundation or First Presbyterian Church is appreciated.
