With great sadness we wish to announce the passing of Alexader F. Lee, who had been in hospital in Edmonton, where he had relocated to some 9 years ago. He fought valiantly for the past 20 months, with leukemia, which was a great testament to his courage. He was born in Cobalt, Ontario, on March 19, 1918, and grew up along with 5 brothers and 1 sister whom he had adored. His brother Hugh still resides in Kirkland Lake, Ontario along with his brother Ted and wife Mary who reside in Kingston, Ontario.
Alexander is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Theresa; children, Nancy (Bill) Grixti of Gravenhurst, ON, Alexander “Sandy” of Calgary, AB, Theresa (Rick) Quail of Okotoks, AB, Robert of Turner Valley, AB, Webster (Helen) of Craik, SK, and Timothy (Angela) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Alex, Amy, and Elizabeth, Matthew and David, Adam, Maggie,Vanessa, Hanna and Chris; Colin, Tanya, Josh and Brie; great grandchildren, Aiden, Brenden, and Lilly, Silas, and Saydie.
The family would like to take this oppurtunity to gratefully acknowledge with many thanks Dr. Flook and all the staff on ward 5E4 of the University Hospital for their efforts and professional care afforded Alex for his long stay there and the Butterfly ward at the St Joseph\'s Care Home for helping make his final days happy and content.
