It is with untold sadness that the Down family, announce the passing of Agnes at the age of 75 years.
Agnes will be missed as a devoted companion, a loving and strong-willed mother, a dear sister and a joy to be around for all who knew her.
She was an elegant and dignified woman who took great joy in her family, her home and loved to spend her summers in the garden.
Agnes will be lovingly remembered by her lifelong companion of over 40 years, Don Kossman of Edmonton, her daughter, Shelly Kerwynn, of Whistler B.C., her sons, David Down of Edmonton; Bryan (Robyn) Down of Sherwood Park; her sister, Trudy Hildebrandt of Wetaskiwin; 6 grandchildren, Lee, Alycia, Hanna, Leslie, Brittaney and Katelynn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Helen; and brothers, Leo and Gordon Bottolfs.
Mom, you will be fondly remembered and may we always remember with smiles, your joyous laugh, your famous peanut brittle and the twinkle in your eye as we would catch you adding extras points to your dice score.
A Celebration of Agnesís Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday February 19, 2011 at the Connelly-McKinley Sherwood Park-Millwoods Funeral Home, 4820 Meridian St., Edmonton (Meridian Street can only be accessed when heading SOUTH on Hwy 216 (Anthony Henday) - the access is 1 km South of the Sherwood Park Fwy
on Hwy 216).
