Lorraine Gaucher passed away suddenly at the Rosedale Assisted Living Center in St. Albert on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the age of 71.
Lorraine is survived by her two brothers, George Maurice Gaucher (Jean) of Calgary and Robert Rene Gaucher (Linda) of Ottawa, and by a niece, Michelle Sherlow, and nephews, Peter, John, Daniel, André and Jesse Gaucher, and Robert Blough. She was predeceased by her parents, Rene Georges Etienne Gaucher (1905-1973) and Annette Gaucher nee Guenette (1908-1982), and by her brother, Richard Georges of Toronto (1951-2007).
Lorraine was born and baptized (St. Joachim Parish) in Edmonton. Her grandparents were Janvier and Virginie (nee Girard) Guenette and Rene and Marie Louise Elvina (nee Lepailleur) Gamelin Gaucher.
Lorraine went to school in Edmonton and Vancouver. She loved music and fashion, and cared deeply about her family. Lorraine was known for her kindness and good heartedness. In her later years in Edmonton she was in poor health and was lovingly supported by Georgette, and Adrienne, Cathy, and Emily Brodeur, her mother’s niece and grandnieces.
