Paul Hodder, of St. Albert, Alberta, passed away quietly at home in the company of his loving wife Debbie, on January 15, after a brave fight with cancer. Paul, son of Ivan and Jean Hodder, was born in Buchans, NL.
Over his lifetime Paul was an avid sports fan and a committed participant in numerous sports activities including softball, hockey, bowling, and especially golf and curling. His knowledge of sports trivia was outstanding and he took quiet pride in his ability to remember detailed sports statistics.
He was a long-time employee of TITAN, later known as Husqvarna.
Paul holds a special place in many hearts and will be deeply missed for his quiet wisdom, kindness, humour, and love of family. His last years were lived fully and deeply in the company of Debbie and family, who cherished him.
He is lovingly remember by his wife Debbie, parents Ivan and Jean, children Justin, Heather, Scott (Lindsey) and Matthew (Dreea), grand-daughter Heidi; brothers: Joseph Ivan, Wayne, Craig (Juanita); and sisters: Patricia (Darryl), Joanne (Howard), and Cathy (Wayne); in-laws: Bernie and Marie and Susan (Terry); special friends: Pierce, Nick, and Kev as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Paul\'s Life will take place from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the family\'s home.
The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength.
- Isaiah 58:11
but for a few more years
Thanks for the years you gave us
and for the happy times we’ve shared
We only pray that when you left us
you knew how much we cared
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
Our chain will link again.
