A Celebration of Sir Knight Anthony Valentine Kallal’s life will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 12810-111 Avenue, with Father Vic Perron celebrant and con-celebrants, Father Nilo Macapinlac and Father Ted Wesolowski. The Mass will be followed by a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery (14611 Mark Messier Trail, St. Albert). Visitation and Prayer Services will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home 10011-114 Street, Edmonton on Tuesday January 4 and Wednesday January 5 between 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m..
Anthony, the fifth boy of Charles and Frances (deceased) is survived by his beloved wife Julie Kraychy, children (from first wife Jacqueline, deceased) Denise (Ray) Hoger, Lawrence, Bernard, Albert, Lorena (Scott) Negro, Susan, Roseanne and Richard (deceased); four siblings – Constance Hatherton, Margaret Dickson, Dorothy (Louis) Shewchuk and Lawrence (Terry); three granddaughters Jackie Negro, Monica and Bridgette Hoger; 2 stepsons Nick and Tony Kraychy; and many nephews and nieces.
Entrepreneur and athletic Anthony was an experienced mining engineer but retired as a pharmacist. His active social life with family and friends included significant contributions to humanity comprised of leading and/or serving 2 KofC organizations, St. Michael Assembly and Nazareno Council, a charitable organization New Home Immigration & Settlement Centre, 2 non-profit associations, Society for the Improvement of Caregiving & Educational Services and the Edmonton Pregnancy Crisis Centre where memorial donations could be made c/o 10227-130 St. Edmonton, AB.
