A true test of love is knowing when to let go. It is with heaviest hearts on December 9, 2010, our test of love came for Meaghan to earn her butterfly wings and become an angel and joined grandma and grandpa. She is survived by her mom, Sheryl and dad, Brent; brothers, Conner, Kyle and Branden; grandparents, Evelin and Harry Modin; great grandma Pearl; aunts and uncles; friends; family and “special family members we gathered along the way” – too many to count.
Meaghan was predeceased by her great grandfathers and great grandma.
Although Meaghan was only seven years old, she has found and touched so many people and even taught so many of us, too many to count. The lessons, humor, strength, courage and life we shared together we will never forget.
Meaghan’s family would like to express a sincere thank-you to all the staff and extended staff at the Stollery and all the departments, kids with cancer, and her pediatrician for all their dedication, compassion and humor. We would like to also express a sincere thank you for all the people, family and friends new and old – it made our journey bearable. THANK YOU.
Meaghan was a child who never gave up. The thing she taught us all is live life to the fullest and that she did.
