Obituary

After living a faith filled life, our beloved Mother passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Amelia \"Milly\" was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan into a family of 11 children. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2008, after 65 years of a fruitful married life. Milly was fully committed to her family, community and church where she was a life long member of the CWL. Prior to Dad\'s death and a stroke in 2000, she travelled extensively to see family and more exotic parts of the world. Memories of a warm, loving Mother will be cherished by 6 surviving children, Gerald (Penny), Jeanette (Larry) Thompson, Lorne (Maria), Murray (Beth), Timothy (Karen) and Maurice (Adrienne); daughter-in-law, Cecile Gartner; son-in-law Peter Chomicki; 20 loving grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; as well as siblings, Joseph Stang, Jacob Stang and Clementine Kohlman. She was predeceased by a son, Harold; daughter Sandra Chomicki and granddaughter, Alexis Chomicki. For the past two years, Milly\'s home was at Ashley Cottage in Red Deer and we are grateful for the exemplary care given by Glynis, Laura and the staff.
