Obituary
 
With heavy hearts, we announce Alan’s sudden death at the young age of 30.

Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend, Educator, Entrepreneur, Biologist, Scientist, Funnyman, Self-Empower-er, Mentor, Leader and Musician. Alan will be remembered by his genuine smile, loving heart, and witty sense of humour. He passionately lived out his purpose to ELEVATE everyone he met. Alan truly left this world a better and brighter place.

Left to continue his legacy is his wife, Renee and his children, Gabriel (3) and Anjali (2); his parents, Alexander and Celine; siblings, Darryl (Priya) DeSilva, Jennifer (Brian) Smeenk, and Reggie (Marivic) Nicolas; nieces, nephews and Godchildren, Lily, Leah, Josh, Grace, Mike, Marcus, Chris, Caitlyn, Max, Mary and Simon as well as numerous amazing family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 St, Edmonton. A Prayer Service will take place at the same location on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a visitation until 9:00 p.m. Reverend Mike Dechant, OMI will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Parish, 17653 - 112 Street, Edmonton on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
