Obituary

On September 27, 2012, Don Biamonte went home to be with the Lord.

Don was born in Edmonton on September 19, 1932 to parents Giuseppe and Annina Biamonte and big brother, Tony. He graduated from the U of A in 1959 with an Education Degree. He taught English and was principal at several high schools, the majority of his career at Archbishop Macdonald.

In his early years, Don acted in the Walterdale Klondike Days Melodramas\', attended the opera, studied Shakespeare and entertained in his home. The things that gave Don the most joy were his students, friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents and will be sadly missed by his loving family: brother, Tony; sister-in-law, Dorothy; nieces, Nancy (Murray) Sather, Lori-Merle (Bruce) Mohacsy, Gina (Fred) Albert; great-nephews, Derek and Daniel Albert; great-niece, Erin Albert; as well as several cousins, extended family and friends.

Words cannot possibly express the family\'s gratitude to the staff, who have become family to us, at Capital Care Lynnwood, 3rd Parker Pavilion. We love you all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Parish, 12810-111 Avenue, Edmonton on Friday, October 5th, 2012 at 1 pm with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14611 Mark Messier Trail, Edmonton.

Donations in memory of Don may be made to the Lynnwood Third Parker Pavillion c/o Capital Care Foundation or to the R.D. Biamonte Award in English Literature of the Romantic Period (U of A).

\"Goodnight sweet prince; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.\"

In Loving Memory of
Robert Donald Biamonte
