Obituary
 
Father Justin McInnis, SFM died on August 11, 2012. Father McInnis was born in New Victoria, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He graduated from high school in Glace Bay and went on to study at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish. Later he enrolled in Scarborough Foreign Mission Society at Scarborough, Ontario and completed his studies at St. Augustineís Seminary in Toronto. He was ordained on August 11, 1963. He travelled to Brazil in 1964 and lived in Itacoatiara for 18 years doing missionary work in Brazil. Upon his return to Canada in 1982 Fr. Justin assisted for three years at Sacred Heart Parish in Edmonton, Alberta while serving at Hope Mission there. He returned to Scarborough and travelled often from there to serve in native communities in northern Ontario. Fr. McInnis was predeceased by his parents Donald Allen and Lydia McInnis and by his two brothers Linus and Thomas. He is survived by two brothers, James Oliver (Melbourne, Australia) and Zane (Truro, Nova Scotia) and four sisters, Joan Crowell (Halifax), Karen Hill (Halifax), Delia Buffett (South Haven, Nova Scotia) and Sheila Richard (Edmonton) with whom Fr. Justin resided for the past four years. Fr. Justinís love reached out to everyone. He insisted that all are welcome in Godís kingdom.
