Obituary

On October 29 Dorrie, at the age of 84, passed away after a long illness.

Left to mourn her loss are her husband, Don; children, Diann (Tom), Carol, Cheryl (Arno), Neil (Cindy) and Colleen; grandchildren, Chris, Steven, David (Jody-Ann), Matthew (Colleen), Daniele (Joe), Nathan, Cariss (Vince), Timothy (Kristy), Taryn (Jason); and great-grandchildren, Allyssa, Taylor, Sydney, Caleb, Abby, Emma, Ben, Dawson, Hayden and Lily. She is also survived by her sister, Phyl of Leicester, England. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Martin and son-in-law, Denis.

Dorrie was a war bride who met and married Don in England in 1945. She came to Canada and lived in various cities in Western Canada before settling in Edmonton. Family and the cottage at Muriel Lake were the most important things to her.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at both Hardisty and Allen Gray Extended Care Centres and especially Arlen Huhn of the Alzheimer Society for her ongoing support.

Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Dorrie\'s wishes no services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Seeds of Hope Program, 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T5H 4K1 or to the Allen Gray Extended Care Centre.
