Obituary
 
Madeleine was born August 24, 1922 on the farm in Webb Saskatchewan. She passed away on May 3, 2012 with her family by her side. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She touched the lives of all that knew her.

Madeleine is survived by her daughters Sheila (Howard), Heather, Cathy (Brian), her six grandchildren, Sara, Jenelle, Chris (Sobha), Pat, Nathan, Simone, her sister Frankie nephew Paul (Janice) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, her mother and father Grace and Alex, son-in-law Rod, sisters Helen and Lexi and good friend Tommy.

Mom was proud of the long career she had in the field of oil and gas working for Stacs, Atlantic Richfield and Petro Canada. She loved having her bridge buddies over on a Tuesday for a game. She played a lot of crib with Dad. She was an avid Calgary Stampeders and Flames fan and loved to go to the football games. Madeleine loved having her family around, and family gatherings with children and grandchildren was always a highlight.

A Memorial Service will be held at St Albert Funeral Home on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM

The family would like to thank the staff at the General Hospital 4Y as well as the staff at the Citadel Continuing Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association. 10045 – 111 St. NW, Edmonton, AB, T5K 2M5.
