Obituary
 
On February 19, 2012, our dear Father and Dziadzia passed away at the age of 96 years.

He will be forever remembered by his children, Karol (Marion), Helena (Brian), and Wiktor (Sharon); grandchildren, Adam, Amelia and Mireille, and Beth and Kate. He was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Apolonia; as well as an infant daughter.

Walter was born in Ilansk, Siberia, grew up in Poland, and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Polish Second Corps as a member of the 5th DKP, 16th LBS. Walter came to Canada in late 1948 and settled in Edmonton where he worked for Gainers Ltd. until his retirement in 1982.

A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Connelly McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, February 27 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church 11485 – 106 Street, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Donations in Walter’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
